Data Modelling and XML Schema Design
With the advent of the Unified Modelling Language (UML) for designing object-oriented systems, the power of modelling has taken the technology world by storm. Most standards bodies today are not content to release an XML schema or DTD - they want also to make explicit the models behind the data structures. UML is increasingly used for data and process modelling, as well as for designing OO applications. Many applications which support more than one syntax - such as e-commerce vocabularies expressable both in EDI syntax and in XML - are using data models to guarantee lossless transformations across syntaxes. If you need help working with modelling approaches that don't require a deep understanding of UML, or are looking at a model-driven approach for the creation of your XML vocabulary, Æon can provide expert assistance. We have experience working with ISO 11179, ebXML's Core Components methodology, and many of the emerging techniques for business process modeling.

Aeon is partnered with several software companies that create XML tools. Though, we are tool agnostic and do not do any sales of XML software, we have had years of experience using the different tools out there.
